I haven't looked at this in so long that I'm not seeing what you're trying to tell me. Are you trying to work with a file that contains the fill value? I remember thinking, back when I wrote this, that it would be good to have a way to disable the fill functionality in case anyone needs to have zeroes in a file, but at the time I didn't need to do that, and I was lazy. If that is the goal, would it be better to disable the fill logic for the entire file instead of on each call to |

I needed a way to get a complete hex file as such I needed a way to ignore the skipping of fill pattern bytes...
