Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.

the issue i see is in a big part a problem with the community tbh, its that new mods aren't really getting even the chance to get popular, from my experience aside from create i haven't seen any new mod for quite a long time now

Describe the solution you'd like

i believe that addition of a feature where new mods can get nominated for 'new mod of the month' or 'best new mod' and if the mod gets enough nominations it'll appear in a tab where you can see nominated mods and vote for which one is the best for its category and the best ones from last month will also be shown somewhere on the site, this would help change your average modpack from create+ to being more unique

Describe alternatives you've considered

adding a rating where you can vote for how good the mod is and a sorting option like recent best rated where it sorts based on rating but weighed based on how old the mod is, its simpler but not as engaging

Additional context

i imagine its a very minor issue that doesn't exist for most players but some way for new mods that could revolutionize modpacks the same way create did would be nice since there probably were a few that just didn't get lucky enough and is now forgotten while being just as good as create.

It'd be one of the few good things so far after whatever 2025 was tbh

EDIT: it has come to my attention that Curseforge already has a similar feature, it'd still be good as some mods don't even get uploaded curseforge anymore but still
