Markdown note: copypasted images are saved in the project root directory

I create a .md note. Then I paste a picture in that note. The picture(s) (named as image.png, image_1.png...) is saved in the project root directory. Can it be saved in the directory which I defined for attachments? ("The attachment file's storage path" in the plugin settings) Or any other directory which I could point at?
